Fans Frustrated as Ticket Issues Mar NJZ's Hong Kong Debut at ComplexCon

Local fans of the globally acclaimed K-pop girl group NJZ (formerly known as NewJeans) are expressing frustration after encountering issues with ticket purchases for the group's highly anticipated debut performance in Hong Kong. The group is set to headline at ComplexCon, but many fans reported receiving tickets for the wrong dates, leaving them unable to attend NJZ's performance on March 23.

One fan shared on Threads that after securing a ticket for March 23, they discovered it was changed to March 22. Suspecting a system error, they contacted Cityline, the ticketing platform, but received no resolution. Similar complaints flooded social media, with fans claiming their tickets were altered to March 21 after payment—a day NJZ is not performing. Some fans even reached out to ComplexCon’s Instagram account for help.

The Hong Kong Consumer Council has received nine complaints involving HK$40,000 and is working with Cityline and ComplexCon to address the issue. ComplexCon confirmed it has contacted Cityline for a follow-up. In response, Cityline stated it found no irregularities after reviewing transaction records but promised to investigate individual cases if fans provide proof of purchase.

Amid the chaos, ComplexCon announced new ticket sales for March 23, NJZ’s performance day, starting February 12 via Trip.com, Cityline, Maoyan, and Ctrip. No other tickets will be sold on that day, with details for other dates to be announced later.

NJZ, formerly NewJeans, has risen to global fame since their 2022 debut with hits like "Attention" and "Super Shy." Their ComplexCon performance marks their first under the new name, with member Minji expressing excitement to showcase their new music.

ComplexCon Hong Kong 2025, running from March 21 to 23 at AsiaWorld-Expo, features a star-studded lineup including NJZ, Metro Boomin, Quavo, and Zico. Fans hope for a smoother ticket-buying experience as the event approaches.
