Hong Kong is set to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China with a series of exciting discounts and events. All 59 cinemas in the city will offer half-price tickets for all screenings tomorrow. This includes all formats, such as IMAX and VIP cinemas. Children, seniors, and students, who already enjoy special pricing, will also receive the same half-price discount. Additionally, ticket buyers will be entered into a lottery for free movie tickets and over 2,000 other prizes.

Tram Rides: All tram rides will be free throughout the day.

Bus Rides: Children aged three to 11 can ride free on over 450 KMB and Long Win bus routes. Those aged four to 11 enjoy free rides on over 300 Citybus routes.

MTR Discounts: Passengers using Octopus cards on the MTR, Light Rail, and certain MTR bus routes will receive a 25 percent discount.

The highlight of the celebration will be the National Day fireworks display at Victoria Harbour, expected to attract around 330,000 locals and tourists. However, several roads on Hong Kong Island will be closed, and the Hung Hom Promenade will not be open for viewing. Police traffic department has advised the public of potential access restrictions to MTR stations and the application of one-way flow on overcrowded footbridges and areas near the waterfront promenade.

For those looking to avoid crowds, police also suggest alternatives such as East Tsim Sha Tsui Promenade, West Kowloon Cultural District, Wan Chai Harbour Chill, and East Coast Park Precinct.

To ease transportation after the fireworks, a bus stop to Huanggang Port will be available at Wui Man Road, opposite West Kowloon Station, starting at 9pm.

Hong Kong's celebration of this milestone promises a day filled with entertainment and convenience, making it a memorable occasion for all residents and visitors.
