The government officially launched the Pilot Scheme of Re-employment Allowance yesterday (15th), and registration is now open. Individuals who have not engaged in any paid work for a continuous period of three months or more and are aged 40 or above are eligible to participate. Participants who work full-time continuously for six months can receive a maximum subsidy of HK$10,000. If they continue to work full-time for 12 months, they can receive an additional HK$10,000 subsidy. Participants who engage in part-time work will receive a subsidy of half the amount. Each participant can receive a maximum re-employment subsidy of HK$20,000 during the implementation period of the scheme.
